This is Dan and his new mule, Doc!!! Third high seller was Enos’s first mule, Doc. Doc sold for $4,500 to Dan McLaughlin of Valleyford, Washington. Ten of the top twelve mules sold to buyers from out of state. Mule were sold to buyers from Idaho, Montana, Washington, Alaska, Wyoming, Utah, Oregon, California, Texas and Minnesota.

The next big, big news from the Mule Sale was the high selling mule. Enos Borntrager of Seymore, Iowa sold the high selling mule. His lot 34 mule, Rosalie sold for $9,000 to become the all time high selling mule. The 6 year old, gray, molly mule sold to Keith McCoy of Corning, California. Enos received the $1,000 sale bonus plus a Montana Silversmith trophy buckle presented by Rulon Wellard of Wellard Constructors, Inc. McCoy received a certificate for a new hat presented by Roy Jackson of Jaxonbilt Hat Company. The McCoys were also presented a Barbara Peets print, Stub Creek by Sale Manager, Fred Snook.

14.1H 10yr old Brown John Mule. Grumpy is a very well made 14 hand mule with a nice head and is very gentle for most anyone. He has been on many trail rides, used behind cattle, ridden in the mountains, hunted on, ridden by novices and kids. This mule will have a very nice neck rein, sidepass and lope circles. Real good about his feet and ears. Been roped off and packed. Turn him out for months, catch him and ride off kind of mule. A real solid, broke mule. This mule is very gentle. He has had a lot of arena work, knows his leads, good stop, back and side passes, ropes steers, opens gates and crosses logs and bridges. Has had alot of ranch work. This mule is really built strong and is a good one!!!
